Okay, this weekend I am really going to do it! Sit down and stitch to my little hearts content! ... Well, after I serve my morning shift at the Temple, go grocery shopping, visit the gym, and do laundry on Saturday, then I'll stitch!!
Crafty-Stitchy Night with the girls was this week and at the house. It's always fun to have them here. I baked up some peanut butter blondies and put a chocolate frosting on top and we at them all. No pictures of that, I'm afraid. I worked on finishing up the Cowboys Jersey ornament. Here's where I'm at with it so far:
I still need to glue some ribbon around the edges to hide where the two bits of matting board meet up. I'm so glad that LMS was here. I about lost my patience with pinning the stitching on centered. She has more patience than I and pinned it for me. As always, the name has been redacted to protect the crazy fan.
I'm kind of bummed at how the stitching is all squished after being under a heavy book to make sure the two bits got glued together. Any suggestions on how to puff them up? I'm thinking next time around to put it face down on a fluffy towel before applying the books.
Here's an update on Flower Power... The starting point for the week. I've put in an hour or so since I last posted it, so it doesn't look like much has happened... and well... not much has happened! Looking forward to stitching on FP this IHSW.
When I finish up with the green I can go back and do some backstitching on the daisies. Then I can count most of them done. There is that one near the bottom that won't be done until I roll the scrolls next. The stitching has a bit of a pinky hue to it. I don't know how to correct for that, so just pretend that it's not nearly as pink as it looks.
A big hello to my new followers! Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs and Stitches,
Kay
