I accidentally skipped posting last week. Oops. Don't worry, though, you didn't miss much. In fact I didn't stitch much at all so I figured there wasn't any use in posting. This week I did managed to get some x's in! Yay! And I managed to complete a couple of sections on two projects.
The first section completed was the Poinsettia House of Santa's Village by Country Cottage Needleworks. Yay! I'm stitching over 2 on 32 count Heaven with the called for flosses. I've already got part of the pole stitched on for the North Pole Post Office, but not pictured here. (I'm waiting to the end before I sew the buttons on.)
I also finished up a section of sampler bands on the Heirloom Nativity. Next Sunday I'll be able to start on the last scene. I figure that will take me a couple of months and then I'll bribe my best friend to do the hardanger at the bottom. I'm stitching this over 2 on 28 count Delft Blue.
I started on the wise men scene way back in 2011. Can you believe I've been stitching a little bit here and there on this for that long? Me either!
The other morning as I was puttering around I felt like starting something new. I have a few patterns all kitted up and ready to go and came this close to starting something. But I was strong and resisted the urge to add another project to the WIP pile. Instead I made another search through my fabric drawer looking for my missing piece of 32 count raw-gold linen that I want to stitch the Lizzie*Kate jingles on. It's still not in the drawer and I haven't a clue where it could have gone. I still think I will find it, so I'm refusing to buy another piece of the fabric.
I've been happily painting my nails and I'd show you what I've been upto there... except I manage to take some fantastically crappy pictures of my hands. I can't seem to get my camera to focus at that short of distance. I was thinking of joining the April A to Z blogging challenge next year, but if I can't take a decent picture of my hands, that's off. Sorry, no photos of purple/glittery nails for you.
And an update on the 1000 miles of cardio in 2013. Thus far I've covered 563.26 miles which leaves only 436.74 miles left. My sister and I are planning on going to Yosemite National Park at the end of July and I expect I'll get some major miles in from hiking around the park.
That's it for this week,
Hugs & Stitches,
Kay

Hi Kay I discovered your blog through another - your Santa's village looks great. I will be starting this in the autumn as I have too much other stitching at the moment.
Great blog, hope you work out the photo thing.
